A Scottish proverb says: “A shy cat is a brave mouse.”
The difference between an average businessman and one who will be remembered is best described by one word – courage. We are all looking for “cheese” – successful projects. You need to get out into the world where everyone is scratching like a cat and wants to “eat” you for dinner. They say that cats have 9 lives, but they also have a flaw – excessive curiosity. Some really manage to survive in the market no matter what. They have built a name, acquired business partners, have initial capital and reserves to supplement it. They look like they have 9 lives.
Any beginner in any business can feel like a mouse in a cat’s world. It is not easy to make your way to the goal – the “cheese” – whatever it represents to you, but know that there is nothing like sitting in a mouse “hole”.
Don’t be burdened with the idea that when you enter the market, the competition will “eat you.” Be brave! While the big ones are looking to beat the big ones, you are taking small, brave steps towards your goal.
“When there is no cat, there are mice around the water.” Play your brave game in the world of cats and outwit them.
A Scottish proverb says: “A shy cat is a brave mouse.” One day you will see that those “cats” were also shy “mice.”
